Undeterred by the news of Mid Yorkshire Hospital Trust’s sell off of land for building, and the seemingly increasing number of patients redirected from Dewsbury District Hospital to Pinderfields A&E, campaigners opposing the downgrade to Dewsbury are holding a rally on 26th June 2014.
They will meet at 9am outside the Town Hall where the MYHT Board Meeting in public is due to sit at 9.30am.
They have 3 simple demands
Fully consultant led maternity services and A&EFully consultant led paediatricsStop the sale of land and retain flexibility for services in the future.
This amounts to putting people before profits.
“We want MYHT to join us and (in the light of the admission by the government that it has lost control of the NHS), help us reinstate the rationale of PEOPLE NOT PROFIT!”
